Lady Upstairs

Grace Sheffield, known as Lady Upstairs (and before that, Vibez with Grace), is a DJ and producer from Buckinghamshire, now based in Brighton. She plays drum and bass and has been building a presence in the UK electronic music scene since 2023.

Music has always been close to home. The Sheffield family has roots in the UK music industry going back to the 1960s, when Trident Studios in Soho was founded, going on to record some of the most iconic albums in British music history.

Grace is neurodivergent, and getting on stage took a while. She put in the hours quietly for years before playing her first set in September 2023, aged 18, at Volks Nightclub in Brighton. The response was good, and a run of bookings followed pretty quickly after that.

She's currently studying Music and Sound Production at BIMM Brighton. Her debut EP, “Jungle in Motion”, is out 1st June 2026. Three tracks of drum and bass built around hardware like the Moog, Roland, and Behringer alongside software like Serum 2, Vital, and Alchemy.
